Reading the analysis
Every asset page carries four derived blocks. They are all computed from market data we already store — no black box, no third-party opinion, no extra call. Here is what each one actually says.
Health Score
A 0–100 composite that summarises an asset's published fundamentals in one number.
- How it's built
- Stocks, metals and forex are scored on five pillars — value, quality, momentum, growth and risk. Crypto uses market-cap rank, momentum, supply dynamics and community. Each pillar is scored 0–100 from public metrics and the composite is their mean; every contributing figure is listed in the breakdown card so you can check the arithmetic.
- What it is not
- Not a credit rating, not a recommendation, and not a prediction of return. A high score describes what the published numbers look like today.
Reference levels (Fibonacci)
A ladder of prices where trading has clustered in the recent past, with the two levels immediately above and below the current price called out.
- How it's built
- We take the highest and lowest price of the last 60 bars and cut the distance between them at the classic Fibonacci ratios (23.6%, 38.2%, 50%, 61.8%, 78.6%), plus extensions past both ends. Each level shows how many of those 60 bars actually traded through it — a level crossed many times is a price the market has repeatedly agreed on; one at zero is geometry the price has never reached.
- What it is not
- Not support and resistance in any guaranteed sense, and not entry or exit points. Price passes through these levels constantly.
Price projection
An extension of the recent trend, drawn with uncertainty bands that widen the further out you look.
- How it's built
- We fit a straight line to the logarithm of recent closes — prices move multiplicatively, so log space keeps the line from ever crossing zero — then damp the slope so its contribution saturates instead of running away over long horizons. The ±1σ and ±2σ bands widen with the square root of time, matching how markets actually spread out. The r² figure tells you how much of the recent movement that trend explains; a low r² means the line is a poor description.
- What it is not
- Not a forecast. It is what the last stretch of prices would imply if the recent trend simply continued, which is exactly what markets routinely fail to do.
Chart indicators
Optional overlays on the price chart: RSI, MACD, Stochastic, ATR and Bollinger bands.
- How it's built
- All are standard formulas computed from the same candles the chart is drawing. RSI and Stochastic measure how stretched recent moves are, MACD compares two moving averages to describe momentum, ATR measures typical bar-to-bar range, and Bollinger bands track volatility around a moving average.
- What it is not
- Not signals. They restate the price series in a different form; they do not add information the chart does not already contain.
Price report
How the asset has actually moved: volatility, worst drawdown, where the price sits in its own range, how often it closes up, and whether volume is picking up.
- How it's built
- Computed from the same year of candles the chart draws. Volatility is the standard deviation of log returns, annualised only when the bars really are daily or weekly — we leave it per-bar rather than invent a conversion. Max drawdown is the worst peak-to-trough fall on closing prices inside the window, and the range bar places the current price between the window's low and high.
- What it is not
- Not a quality ranking. A deep drawdown or a high volatility figure describes what the past year did, not whether the asset is good or what you should do about it.

Where does cryptosrank get its prices?
Stocks, metals, forex and indices come from Yahoo Finance. Crypto prices come from OKX with metadata enriched by CoinGecko. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index comes from alternative.me. FX exchange rates come from open.er-api.com. A small cron service polls these once on a schedule and writes to Supabase; visitors subscribe to Supabase Realtime and get push updates, so the upstream cost doesn't scale with visitor count.

Yes. Each crypto has its own page with a live price, a chart with 14 time ranges (1-minute, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 4h intraday plus 1D, 5D, 1M, 3M, 6M, 1Y, 5Y, MAX), eight indicators (RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, MA, EMA, Stochastic, ATR, Volume), perpetual-swap funding rate, on-chain pulses (block height, gas, TPS) and the option to add the asset to your watchlist or set a price alert.
